Beasts Among Us – Dani Wilson

From the artist: My name is Dani Wilson and I am a queer, poly, Seattle artist. I formerly studied medicine at Bellevue College, but realized art is more the path I want to take. So aside from taking a couple drawing classes in between medical terminology classes, I am self-taught. I’ve been drawing and painting ever since I can remember, but for the past few years I have really been trying to hone my craft by creating beasts in fantastical and dystopian worlds, predominately with watercolor on untreated wood scraps. I currently live in Northgate, working at Capitol Hill Frame Central to supplement myself financially while I paint and draw every other moment I can.

Her show: March 9th (opens at 5 p.m.) through March 31st at Cloud Gallery.
