White Girl Wasted – Amanda Manitach

Amanda Manitach is one of The Monarch’s favorite people, visual artists and thinkers. Over the past few months, Amanda has been posting hand-drawn pictures of drunk girls with graphic t-shirts that we absolutely adore. She writes, “These were inspired by (among other things) some t-shirt companies based in LA, vibrators, found phrases on dumpsters, the fact I have always had penis envy and don’t love my pubic hair but don’t think that makes me a bad feminist. (My list of ten things that suck about having a dick probably does, but to be fair, that list was generated by a group of men at Nacho Borracho late one fateful night ages ago).”

As such, we wanted to display some of Amanda’s work – which will be available to see starting today through Sep. 8 in ‘real life’ here – and so… here it is!
