Three Songs To The Head vol. 26

Hello and welcome back to Three Songs to the Head where we share three songs that moved us, three songs we love, three songs we can’t get out of our heads! Today, we’re featuring Snuff Redux, Sisters and My Cartoon Heart. Enjoy!

Snuff Redux’s “Disintegrate the Days” shows the maturity of the young band. The rhythm guitar is exceptional on this bright track brimming with joyful camaraderie. The band, which has lately been made darlings of KEXP 90.3, has a new EP out called Toy Kingdom, which you can stream here.

Sisters – ah, Sisters. This lovely duo has been putting in work – and just announced they’ll be playing at an upcoming show with buttery-voiced Allen Stone in April. There is something mysterious to the band Sisters. Where did they come from? When did the project come together? ARE THEY REALLY SISTERS? (That last one was a joke, of course). Their new song, “Buck”, displays the same pop, mystery and golden voiced qualities that the band, as a whole, exude. Part 80’s nostalgia, part new-wave wonder, Sisters are a treasure.

My Cartoon Heart are light bouncing steps down the summery sidewalk passing stands selling strange balloons and odd flavored candy. Part dance music part strummed solo acoustic guitar, the band comes out of nowhere. They could easily be played regularly on the radio or easily remain underground. This is the dichotomy you and the band stand in as their music cheerfully meanders out of the speakers.
